Paw Paw, Will and Thomas

Here is a favorite picture from one of our visits with Thomas. Will had just come from playing in a football game, and it was his first time to see the baby. Tommy really enjoys his grandkids!

One Baby-Crazy Maw Maw!

As you can see, Maw Maw (Sylvia Griffin) is truly enjoying her first visit with Thomas. I took the day off from work, and we spent the day with Amber and Thomas and helped out as we were able. He did all the things a newborn likes to do - eat, sleep, cry, stretch, yawn, and relieve himself - and we got the pleasure of holding him whenever we could. What a special blessing he is! And you know I am not biased at all!

Our First Visit to Thomas at Home

Tommy and I were able to get "up close and personal" with Thomas at his home Sunday evening. His cap said "What a cutie!" We totally agree.

Thomas James Has Arrived!

Here is proud mama Amber Adams holding her precious newborn son, Thomas James Adams. He came in at a healthy 8 lbs. 2 oz. (the same size his daddy was!). Thomas was born on September 26, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas and was greeted with much enthusiasm by his maternal grandparents, Jay and Loraine Davis, his great-aunt (Auntie) Ronda Crouch, Daddy John, and us (Tommy and Becky Adams). We were able to just about have a front row seat from Friday night through Saturday afternoon, and are happy to report that this baby is very healthy and has a great appetite.

Dr. John started enjoying his role as a daddy right away. Thomas is demonstrating his eagerness to eat while sucking on a few available fingers. We will be posting more pictures after our next visit this afternoon. God is good all the time! We thank God for our many blessings.

Showers of Blessings Inside and Out!

We truly enjoyed celebrating the impending birth of Thomas James Adams with a baby shower at the Boldtville Presbyterian Church in San Antonio. Tommy and his brothers attended there as children. As you can see, a fun time was had by all!

This beautiful quilt was made from Amber's childhood bedspread, and had darling designs lovingly stitched by her grandmother.

Amber was glowing. Rachel was beaming. We had a wonderful time!

Here is the scrumptious 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla cake, displayed over Bridgette's beautiful gift to Thomas of a hand-made quilt. A perfect match!

Another source of our joy....

This is our grandson William Adams Wier. He lives in Blanco with his mom, stepdad and two stepsisters. His dad, Jimmy (our second son), lives in Las Vegas. Will is starting another year of football (as a "big" third grader), and appears to look forward to school. We cherish time with our Sunshine!

Here is one of the first pictures of Baby Thomas -John and Amber's son. He is obviously very happy in his current surroundings. I am sure that the love enveloping him will coax many more grins when he joins us "in person"! He's even poking his tongue out at us! We are so excited! The due date is October 2, 2009.
